Haiko is a band with 12 musicians, playing compositions of Henrik Hallberg. The written music, integrates with improvisation of the performing moment. Music with both humour and seriousness is created. The pieces are especially written for this instrumentation, bringing out beautiful melodies and sound colours with a Nordic touch, as well as energetically rhythmic expressions. Simple songs are mixed up with longer musical journeys, making the stylistic boundaries disappear. The songs have a dynamic range from dense orchestral textures to more naked moments. The unifying factor is the sound of the group, formed by the strong personalities in the band.

Haiko has existed in different settings since 2001. Concerts have been given at Jeriko in Malmö, Nefertiti in Gothenburg, The Concert Hall in Kristianstad among other places. The music of Haiko has also been broadcasted by The Swedish Radio.
