Henrik Hallberg – guitarist, composer and arranger, was born 1981 in Nacka, a suburb to Stockholm, Sweden. Plays/composes music, mainly in the field of jazz, pop and improvised music.

His first CD as a co-leader “Lila Lotus - Live”, will soon be released on the label Pan Tau-x Records. 5 of the tracks are compositions of Henrik. To listen, click on “music”.

His melodic and communicative approach to guitar playing can be heard with Sandro Miori Quartet (Italy/Austria), Semikolon (Sweden) and ”Labyrinth – Association of English Poets, Vienna”, just to name a few.

Henrik’s songs for small groups have all a strong character, creating an inspiring platform for the ensembles’ momentary expression. Some of the greatest hits, from his book “My Songs” as available to download, click on “music”.

Henrik Hallberg can fully stretch out his compositional ideas with his own band Haiko. An ensemble consisting of Henrik and 11 of his favourite musicians, chosen for this project. The basic idea for this type of ensemble came in 2001. Haiko plays compositions of Henrik, in specially arranged for this band.
Haiko has performed around in Sweden and has also been broadcasted by The Swedish Radio.

Henrik has received commissions to write for (among others): Nouvelle Cuisine (alias “Austrian Composers Big Band”), XL Big Band, Lund’s New Chamber Orchestra, Metropolis Big Band och Malmö Academy of Music’s Big Band.

He has been performing in Sweden, Finland, Austria, England, Germany, Poland, Hungary and Slovenia.

Henrik also teaches Guitar and Composition/ Music Theory.

He has also worked accompanying various Improvisation Theatre Groups.
